Lebedinsky Mining and Processing Plant — the largest enterprise in Russia and the CIS for the extraction and processing of iron ore, the production of high-quality iron ore raw materials and metal resources. The company is located in Gubkin, Belgorod region. It is part of the Metalloinvest metallurgical holding.

The works were carried out at the following sites:

Project achievements:

As part of the project, a large-scale replacement of the outdated lighting system with modern LED equipment was carried out in 11 divisions of the Lebedinsky Mining and Processing Plant. A total of 18,508 fixtures were replaced. The completion period was 14 months.

Project objectives:

Ensure that the illumination level meets the applicable regulations.

In some areas, increase the illumination from 50 to 200 Lux (an increase of 4-5 times).

Achieve energy savings of at least 78% compared to previous consumption figures.

Project results:

The work was carried out efficiently and strictly within the specified time frame.

Normalized illumination has been achieved in all upgraded areas according to the Technical Specifications.

The results exceed the set goals: energy savings amounted to 85%.

The economic effect of the project has reached 159 million rubles per year, which will save 797 million rubles over 5 years of operation.

Conclusion:
The lighting modernization project has significantly improved the working conditions of employees, significantly reduced energy costs and strengthened Lebedinsky GOK's position on environmental friendliness and energy efficiency.
